The Erne Campus at South West College in Enniskillen is a landmark achievement, standing as the world’s largest Passive House Premium certified educational building. Designed by Hamilton Architects and Mullarkey Pederson Architects, with Passive House certification overseen by MosArt, the campus spans 76,686 ft² and is a beacon of energy efficiency and sustainability in the educational sector.

The project faced several significant challenges, including the building's shape and form, accommodating a variety of complex uses such as a cookery and hairdressing school, implementing natural ventilation and shading in the elongated southwest-facing atrium, managing very high internal gains, and meeting the stringent Passive House Premium Primary Energy Standard. The Erne Campus sets a new global standard for energy-efficient educational facilities, combining innovation with sustainability.
