The Proposal
The clients for this building have been developing gaming centres and arcades over many years across the island of Ireland. The selection of this site on the seafront in Bray is based on the long-established reputation of that part of the town as a tourist and leisure destination.
The MosArt Effect
The solution adopted involved reflecting the proportions and characteristics evident in the neighbouring Victorian terraces while adopting an explicitly contemporary expression. The contextual references are manifest, for instance, in the building mass and heights as well as a vertical emphasis in fenestration.
